UNDERSTANDING BODYMIND ENERGY

Your physical body is a community composed of more than 70 trillion cells. To function as a community, these cells must be able to communicate very rapidly.

Everyone knows about the brain and spinal cord nervous systems, which do transmit signals quite rapidly. There is a parallel autonomic nervous system composed of two divisions - the sympathetic and the parasympathetic. This system also transmits signals quite rapidly.

In addition to both of these nervous systems, it is now known that even more rapid communication exists in the form known as subtle energies.

Increasingly, in medical and psychological research, we are learning how energy impacts our bodymind.

Your brain receives signals and creates images. Images are more than visual and involve all senses simultaneously.

The mind is not a thing. Think of it as active processing, a verb rather than a noun.

Our ability to associate images is the basis for thinking. Association is subject to rapid changes, which accounts for our ability to learn.

All of the processes described above occur by reason of energy transfer.

The recognition of the possibilities resulting from energy transfer has now led to two fields of clinical application: Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine.
